Marching Band Date Updates – Please Check Your Calendar

Battle at the Big House

To clarify, the tentative schedule that Mr. Dudzinski distributed last spring in the marching band registration packet stated that the Battle at the Big House game was Friday, August 26th. The game was changed to this Thursday, the 25th, last June. Announcements were made at that time.

Tomorrow – Friday – Pick up Your Student at Band Camp

Our show will be Friday Aug. 12th at 7:00 PM.  Remember that transportation home is NOT provided, so please come and enjoy our show and pick up your child.

Bring a lawn chair, sunglasses and umbrella (just in case)!

I-96 West to Exit 133 – M59 Highland Rd. (Howell Tanger Outlet Mall).

Right at the end of the ramp onto Highland Rd.

Left on Burkhardt Rd., which is the first light (as if you were going to outlet mall).

You will be on Burkhardt Rd. for approximately 5.5 miles

It will turn to dirt, you will pass Taylor Beach Campground, and then a little further down the road Water’s Edge will be on the left – watch for the sign! Turn on N. Center Dr. to enter the camp, stay to the left going toward Gibson / Bearinger Center.

TICKET Information for Battle at the Big House in the Spinal Column today; “Tickets for the Thursday, August 25th games between Brighton/Detroit East English Village (4:00 PM) and the Western/Farmington (7:00 PM) games at the “Battle at the Big House” can be purchased from Walled Lake Western (248-956-4400). Tickets will be on sale for Western students to purchase during the week of August 15th-18th at student registration. Limited parking is available at the University of Michigan lots for $5 and at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School for $10. All spectators should enter the stadium through Gate One.”

We Need (2) Canopy Tents for Camp Registration This Sunday

We could use (2) of  the canopy-type tents to use at check-in on Sunday.  I would like to get them before Sunday so we can set up early (unless someone wants to come early to put their tent up….that would be the best!).  If the family could wait until we finish check-in, take down the tent and take it home that would be good.  Please contact Edie Fitzpatrick at fitzveros@yahoo.com.

Band Camp – What to Pack, Directions to Camp, What Snack to Bring

Band Camp departure is this Sunday at Geisler. Be there no later than 11:00 a.m. (earlier if you are front ensemble or drumline) to check in your student, turn in your instrument section snack. The students take a bus to camp but parents must pick up their students this Friday after the 7:00 p.m. concert.
